Explosion Box

I have seen so many different explosion boxes I thought I would try one of my own.  I however, only did the one layer and added 3D flowers that I made  ( all the ones I have seen have many  multiple layers)  I wanted mine smaller  Most start with a 12 x 12 size sheet I did 9 x 9  Here is want I came up with

I realize that the top needs to be made a wee bit smaller for a better fit  But you learn from trial and error Right !!

This is how it looks when open.   The butterfly in the middle is attached with wire to make it look as if it were flying  and the little card in the envelop is for your personal saying

Then this is the top of the box
